Meet John Cottrell – Breakthrough Leadership Our mission is to help everyone we work with to achieve their full potential, quickly and easily.

I have an eclectic mix of experience that includes: coaching, consulting and senior management roles in a range of businesses across the world.

I’m informed by: what works and can be repeated; that which is in the client’s interest; and that which takes us further. Show me the acorn and I will imagine the oak tree and how to grow it.

My teachers too have had an incredible variety to them, from Wind Eagle and Rainbow Hawk (Native North Americans) to Eliyahu M. Goldratt, the Israeli physicist who developed Theory of Constraints and who wrote ‘The Goal’. There have been many others.

One constant though is that I have always chosen to use what works. I have never felt the need to blindly follow one ideology. Each body of knowledge has its strengths and weaknesses. The trick is to build hybrid approaches that take the best from the relevant schools of thought and combine them into something better than any of them individually.

My 20-Year Vision

The CEO School at Breakthrough Leadership has become renowned for delivering impactful leadership and CEO training. Shareholders now see the best long-term returns when management teams work collaboratively, prioritising all stakeholders, including the environment.

We’ve established that wealth can be a force for good, making it desirable to do good at scale. Selfish wealth is now viewed as a sign of ignorance and a poor strategic choice. Serving oneself at others' expense is seen as outdated, as society moves toward creating abundance that benefits people and the planet.

Starting with people of wealth, we sparked a global wave of philanthropy that has inspired millions. We’ve helped eliminate depression, anxiety, and other emotion-based disorders by encouraging doctors to focus on emotions alongside symptoms. Therapists now focus only on the most severe cases, as most people no longer need therapy.

Our work has exposed emotional manipulation for what it is, and people, once enlightened, resist these strategies. We’ve trained a legion to pass on this knowledge across generations and nations, ensuring the message remains pure.

Our global council of elders oversees this work, maintaining high standards of consciousness. A worldwide network of grassroots advocates keeps the vision alive.
